Two-year training contract composed of four seats (rotations across different departments). Seats are arranged across the firm’s departments over the two-year period; seat allocation takes individual preferences into account but cannot be guaranteed and is determined by business needs and availability. Trainees are paired with a dedicated mentor from day one, have a supervisor in each department and additional guidance from Heads of Department; they also have direct access to partners and participate in training sessions and the external Professional Skills Courses required by the SRA. The firm expects trainees to develop increasing initiative and client responsibility through the programme.

Innovation
Quick Application Angles
- Highlight any paralegal or direct client experience (particularly in property or litigation) — several trainees joined after paralegal roles and the firm values hands-on experience.
- Emphasise commercial awareness in property, real estate finance or landlord & tenant issues and reference the firm's Real Estate and Real Estate Finance recognition in applications or interviews.
- Because the trainee intake is small (around three per year), demonstrate cultural fit: be personable, show evidence of teamwork and give examples of where you’ve thrived in a supportive, collaborative environment.
- Mention training and mentorship interest — the firm pairs trainees with dedicated mentors and provides structured mid-seat and end-seat feedback, so state how you would use that mentorship to develop specific technical or client skills.
- If applying to dispute or litigation seats, reference practical litigation experiences (court hearings, mediations, case-management tasks) — trainees reported observing court hearings and participating in mediations.
