Training Contract
Trainees undergo seat rotations described on the site as six-month seat rotations (enabling exposure to multiple practice areas). Sponsorship
Financial assistance is available for SQE2 preparation and assessments (when completed during the first year of the Training Contract). No grants or reimbursement are offered for the GDL, LPC or SQE1.
SQE Support
The firm provides financial assistance for SQE2 preparation courses and for SQE2 assessments when those assessments are completed during the first year of a Training Contract, and offers paid exam leave. The firm does not provide financial assistance for GDL, LPC or SQE1 and cannot reimburse SQE2 studies completed prior to the start of a Training Contract.
Mentorship
Each trainee has a mentor and a buddy. Trainees are supported by a Training Principal (Helen Curtis) and assigned supervisors in each seat. There is an active trainee cohort with trainee Social Secretaries and access to firm-wide committees such as CSR.
Programmes & Schemes
Two-week placement during which attendees spend time within two specialist legal departments, contribute to live legal work, are paired with a current trainee for insight, and participate in Lunch & Learns and social events. The scheme is integrated into the trainee recruitment process and attendees may be assessed in place of the usual recruitment assessment centre.
