Quick Application Angles

  • Show how your experience aligns with the exact values “Justice & integrity”, “Protection & trust” and “Expertise & commitment”, rather than relying on generic statements about wanting a legal career.
  • Use a concrete example of Bindmans’ public-interest work, such as the Hillsborough team’s accountability work, Re H-N, the Joseph Tidmarsh inquest or Stop Oxevision’s data-protection submissions.
  • Explain why the firm’s smaller-but-mightier, multidisciplinary model appeals to you and identify how public law, human rights, crime, media, family or immigration teams can work together.
  • Discuss the Social Justice Fund’s 10% business-client fee contribution and its 50/50 support for The Access to Justice Foundation and Just For Kids Law as evidence of a distinctive access-to-justice model.
  • If applying through the paralegal route, emphasise readiness for meaningful case preparation, evidence handling, court attendance and client work, together with a clear plan to qualify through the SQE.
