Training Contract

All trainees undergo a comprehensive induction supported by a compulsory three-month paralegal period. SQE route: after the paralegal period trainees complete a specialised 20-month seat in an agreed department plus a four-month litigious or non-litigious seat depending on the specialised department. During each seat trainees are allocated a training supervisor (generally a Director) and receive regular coaching, reviews and formal meetings with the Training Principal.

  • Academic Requirements: Preferably a 2.1 undergraduate degree (2.2 will also be considered). LPC or SQE (1 & 2) qualification expected. Paralegal experience is highly desired. Strong academics plus soft skills such as communication, teamwork and IT are required, and an interest in the Gloucestershire area is sought.

Mentorship

During each seat a training supervisor (generally a Director) is allocated to the trainee. Trainees have weekly catch-ups with supervising solicitors, monthly meetings with the Trainee Principal, and firm-wide trainee meetings with the Trainee Principal and Managing Director.
